Cape Union Mart Airport Junction

Cape Union Mart Airport Junction is an outdoor clothing and equipment shop at Airport Junction Shopping Centre, on the corner of Airport Road and Francistown Road in Gaborone, Botswana. It is a branch of Cape Union Mart, the South African outdoor retailer, and the shopping centre's own online store directory lists it among the centre's tenants. Cape Union Mart was founded in Cape Town in 1933 and is still based there. The chain sells equipment and clothing for hiking, camping, running, travel and safaris, stocking outside brands such as The North Face, Salomon and Crocs alongside its own. Its principal in-house brand is K-Way, launched in 1981, and the group's other labels include Old Khaki and Poetry. In 2025 it had 116 stores: 107 in South Africa, four in Botswana and five in Namibia. Airport Junction Shopping Centre opened in April 2012 at the junction of Airport Road and the A1, the main road north from Gaborone to Francistown. It has about 45,800 square metres of retail space in four buildings, and its original anchor tenants included Shoprite, Edgars and Builders Warehouse. The centre is managed by Khumo Property Asset Management. Gaborone has been Botswana's capital since independence in 1966 and is the country's largest city.
