We bought two SanDisk 256GB Extreme Pro SD cards from the Botswana Suntronics store in Maun. The packaging was intact for both.
We were on a safari, just stopping for lunch ( and not returning to Maun.
The next day when we put them into our cameras they didn’t work.
After returning to Australia I contacted SanDisk and they asked for the serial numbers on the reverse side of the SD cards. There weren’t any serial numbers, and they are fake copies.
Despite repeated attempts to format they are unusable.
So, if you buy SD cards when away, remove the packaging in the shop, check for a serial number on the back of the SD card and make sure they work and have the capacity as labelled.
I have emailed and texted the Suntronics shop in Maun, but they do not reply.
