Description
The Department of Forestry and Range Resources is a public works department that is dedicated to the preservation and management of Botswana's natural resources. Our headquarters are located at Loapi House, Old Lobatse Rd, Gaborone, Botswana.
Our mission is to promote sustainable forestry and range management practices that ensure the long-term health and productivity of Botswana's forests and rangelands. We work closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement policies and programs that support this mission.
Our department is responsible for a wide range of activities, including forest inventory and monitoring, forest management planning, range management, and wildfire prevention and suppression. We also provide technical assistance and training to landowners, farmers, and other stakeholders to help them manage their lands in a sustainable and productive manner.
At the Department of Forestry and Range Resources, we are committed to protecting Botswana's natural resources for future generations. We believe that sustainable forestry and range management practices are essential for maintaining the health and productivity of our forests and rangelands, and we are dedicated to promoting these practices throughout the country.
Whether you are a landowner, farmer, or other stakeholder, we invite you to join us in our efforts to protect and manage Botswana's natural resources. Together, we can ensure a sustainable future for our forests and rangelands, and for the people who depend on them.
